SUMMER CAMP

Camp information:

Larkspur Farm’s summer camp for boys and girls, ages 7-14, meets Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. The day is packed with fun and educational activities. Campers ride every day, either in an hour group lesson (3-4 riders) or in a half-hour private lesson, depending on ability. First-time riders are welcome. When not riding, campers will learn how to properly groom, care for, tack-up and put away their horse or pony. They also learn about basic veterinary care, horse anatomy, tack cleaning, bathing horses, feed schedules, and general stable management. The children eat their own bagged lunch midday and can buy ice cream from the ice-cream truck just before 2:00.

What to bring:

For riding, campers will need long pants (jeans, britches, or chaps), their own helmet, and boots with a small heel. For after riding, they can bring shorts to change into. Campers must bring their own lunch, a snack, and plenty of water! They will also need a few dollars if they wish to buy ice-cream at the end of the day. Many campers like to bring treats (apples or carrots) for their favorite horse or pony. Please remember to label all of your child’s equipment!

Session Dates and Prices:

The sessions are two weeks long, starting June 17th, July 1st, July 15th, July 29th, and August 12th. Campers may attend either two or four days per week. The camp is extremely popular and sessions fill fast; sign up as early as possible to guarantee your dates of choice.

*A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your child’s spot at Larkspur Farm Summer Camp.

Camp Policies:

If you cancel a camp day, you may schedule a make-up day or lesson as long as the cancellation is 24-hours in advance. Only one missed camp day may be made-up per session. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Full payment of camp balance is due by June 1, 2013. We cannot reserve your child’s camp dates with any unpaid balance.
