SUMMER CAMP
Larkspur Farm offers an educational and fun-filled summer camp
program for boys and girls, ages 7-14. The program will meet Monday
through Thursday, when riders will be dropped off at 8:30am and
picked up at 2pm. The camper’s day will consist of a one-hour
horseback riding lesson or 1/2 hour private lesson for beginning
riders and various supervised activities. Beginner through advanced
riders may choose to attend 2 times per week or 4 times per week.
Professional instruction will encourage children to gain confidence
in small group lessons, limited to 3 to 4 riders. Campers will
also enjoy daily activities conducted in a highly structured environment.
These activities are organized to further the rider’s knowledge
of horse care and instill responsibility. Activities will include
horse anatomy, grooming, tacking, veterinary care, and general
stable and ring management. Additionally, riders may choose to
participate in monthly summer horse shows at the farm.
Larkspur Farm will conduct camp sessions in June, July and August.
Each session is two weeks long. The sessions are: 6/16 - 6/26,
6/30 - 7/10, 7/14 - 7/24,
7/28 - 8/7, and 8/11 - 8/21. Larkspur Farm encourages those interested
to register as soon as possible, as space is limited. Please feel
free to call for more information.
